民進黨主席蔡英文昨晚回應馬習會成果時表示，她覺得非常失望，「馬總統帶著黑箱的疑慮出發，即將帶回來更大的爭議。」
蔡英文昨日南下輔選，昨下午亦緊盯馬習會的電視連線報導，晚間她在雲林召開記者會，發表對馬習會的看法。
她說，原本期待從馬英九口中說出「台灣的民主、台灣的自由，以及中華民國的存在」。
然而，馬英九在會晤習近平後的記者會上表示，他向習近平的談話是站穩「一個中華民國總統該有的立場」；據隨行人員表示，這是台灣第一次有人在大陸領導人面前說「中華民國」、「中華民國憲法」、「一中各表」與「兩岸隔海分治」等。
不過蔡英文仍認為，馬英九的表達不夠，她強調，台灣人民有自由選擇的權利，馬英九都沒有提到，而馬習會是在國際舞台上，以政治框架框限了人民未來在兩岸關係上的選擇。
